John Scurr continues to provide a clinical service. He works closely with Mr Philip Coleridge Smith re the management of varicose veins. John Scurr himself takes responsibility for venous thrombosis, post-thrombotic conditions and pulmonary embolism.

He continues his long established hernia practice dealing with all forms of primary and recurrent hernias – inguinal, femoral, incisional.

He is also responsible for managing patients with arterial insufficiency. Over the last ten years we have moved away from many of the invasive surgical procedures to non-invasive procedures including angioplasty and stenting. John Scurr fully assesses patients, advises on future management and is actively involved in many of the treatment processes.

John Scurr developed an interest in the prevention of medical accidents and as a result has assisted many patients and healthcare providers in the provision of compensation.

John Scurr trained as a mediator and has considerable expertise in the preparation of Medico Legal reports both in the field of clinical negligence and personal injury.
